The Flathead river is one of the last rivers to have native West Slope Cutthroat trout. This is a fly fishing river. A novice fishermen should be able to catch 20-30 fish a day. The average fisherman should be able to catch 50-100 fish a day. An experienced fisherman can catch 100 plus fish a day. These fish run from 6" to 24" in length and weigh up to 5 pounds. The scenery is breathtaking and the stout-hearted can swim.
This is an easy, relaxed float, not a
whitewater trip. Everything is provided except your personal gear and
fishing license. A fishing license can be obtained here after your
arrival.
Special Note - We now offer a semi-guided float fishing trip. On this trip you would row your own boat, help set up camp and help with the cooking and dishes. This is a considerable savings to you.
DATES - These trips run July - September, they are 5 to 10 days. For exact dates of trips call (406) 296-2642.
